Mazdaspeed 3, Mazdaspeed 6 and CX7 Turbocharger upgrades

BNR Supercars has engineered 3 stages of turbocharger upgrades for the Mazdaspeed 3, Mazdaspeed 6, and the Mazda CX7.  These upgrades were designed to be a replacement for the K04 factory turbocharger..  The stock K04 is a throw away unit that shouldn't be rebuilt.  The weak points of the K04 is the long shaft length, small shaft width, and thrust bearing design.  BNR's new designed replacement/upgrade far overshadows the K04 turbocharger that comes equipped on the Mazdas.

The benefit of the BNR upgrade is the increased shaft size, shorter shaft, bigger bearings, better thrust bearing assembly, better turbine wheel, more efficient compressor wheel, and last but not least, more reliable.  No question this upgrade is far more superior to the original equipment turbocharger on the Mazdas.

Mazdaspeed 3/6/CX7 Turbocharger upgrades

The BNR stage 1 is a 100% bolt up no fabrication required.  It flows enough for 320 AWHP/350 FWHP.  It consists of a GT28 Disco Potatoe non ball bearing CHRA (center housing rotating assembly).  The end housings are CNC machined to fit the CHRA and all factory oil lines, water lines, and stock wastegate actuator bolt up with no issues!  This is perfect for someone that wants reliability but be as close to stock as possible.  The BNR stage 1 consists of:

• CNC machined turbine and compressor housings
• GT28 CHRA (center housing rotating assembly)

BNR Mazdaspeed 3/6 and Mazda CX7 Stage 3

turbocharger upgrade!

Bolt on, minimal fabriaction required!  This upgrade is for the customer wanting to reach the limitations of the stock engine without killing response!  This is what the upgrade includes:

• GT2871 compressor wheel
• New GT28 non ball bearing CHRA

CORE REQUIREMENT:  Any Mazdaspeed 3 or Mazdaspeed 6 orders must have turbocharger cores with the part numbers K0422-881 or K0422-882.  No cores with the part number K0422-582 are allowed.  If you have a CX7, the K0422-582 is appropriate!

 The K0422-881/882 also have cracking issues that require welding to fix, or need complete replacement.  We document every core that returns and one of our staff will let customers know if there is a problem with cracking.  Resolution is either welding to fix the problem (you get full core refund), or if the housing is to cracked, half refund is returned.
