Greddy Mazda RX8 Turbocharger Upgrade

BNR Supercars has developed the best and most reliable turbocharger upgrade for the Mazda RX8's equipped with the Greddy turbocharger kit.  This turbocharger upgrade has an upgraded turbine wheel, water cooled bearing housing, upgraded thrust assembly and compressor wheel upgrade.  

The turbine wheel upgrade is an 11 blade with a factory clip.  With less blade count the turbine wheel has more flow capabilities than the stock 12 blade TD06H turbine wheel.  The thrust bearing assembly (thrust bearing and thrust collar) is also upgraded to handle high boost levels and the added load of the upgraded compressor wheel.  The compressor wheel is a highly modified Garrett T04E 60-1 that is machined and balanced to work with the Greddy turbocharger.  The rotating assembly is dynamically balanced to ensure reliability.  The rotating assembly is balanced to .5 gram/in2 or less.  The factory compressor housing is machined to fit the upgraded compressor wheel which makes the turbocharger 100% bolt up to Greddy's instructions.  In addition to the rotating assembly upgrades, the center housing is water cooled! 

The benefit to the water cooled center housing is it keeps the oil temps inside the turbocharger below coaking point.  Coaking of the oil is the #1 culprit for premature turbocharger failure with the Greddy RX8 turbo kit.  This water cooled conversion is by far the best thing you could ever do to the Greddy turbocharger!
